Environment...

Celme transformers are completely free of PCBs and PCTs. Upon request, they can be filled with silicone oil or with oil based on synthetic esters or mineral oil.

Over 80% of the material comprised into the transformer can be recycled.

The oil can be eliminated through an appropriate disposal consortium. There is no need to sacrifice the typical performance and safety of oil-filled transformers, even in case of installations where the danger of fire or pollution is particularly serious; in fact, we can provide transformers filled with fluid based on synthetic esters that are used by such major companies as: air and railroad transportation companies, nuclear fuel treatment companies, pharmaceutical and petrochemical companies, etc.

This transformer fluid:

• is quickly biodegradable (>80% in 30 days), non toxic and hasn't influence on the activated sludge of purification systems

• is free of dangerous fumes; its emission are minimal, not dense, light-colour and contain no traces of hydrochloric acid or dangerous toxins

• is not combustible in open flame tests and does not ignite even after 80 minutes, presenting only slight evidence of thermal decomposition

• is not dangerous for water from the point of view of toxicity for mammals and fish and acute bacterial toxicity

The installation of a Celme transformer filled with ester-based oil is the best solution for the respect of the environment and for safety. It's suitable to be used in railroad environment and in the supply of particular heavy load.
